1. General Purpose of the Job: The general purpose of the job
is to ensure the timely and quality boarding of data related
to mortgage loan servicing transfers. The Boarding Analyst
also facilitates the transfer of data for loans that have
been service released to other mortgage servicers.
2. Duties and
Responsibilities:
Obtain all incomplete or missing information needed to
complete accurate loan boardings
Responsible for performing Recovery boardings and reporting
information to Recovery.
Work with the Sr. Boarding Analyst during the prelim boarding
stage to capture
all necessary information to setup tax and insurance payees
once the transfer is completed.
Maintain and communicate a tracking log of Recovery
boardings, and service releases.
Work with the Sr. Boarding Analyst to ensure that all MINS
are transferred at the time of transfer.
Primary point of contact for post servicer questions
regarding Servicing/Recovery data.
3. Position Parameters:
a. Decision-making
Responsibilities: The Boarding Analyst is
responsible for managing preliminary files and final data to
determine the most appropriate mapping of information
obtained from the prior servicer. They must also submit
requests to the prior servicer for clarifying information
needed to facilitate the most accurate data transfer possible.
b. Problem solving responsibility: The ability to demonstrate
an awareness of individual transfer structures for planning
purposes is a required skill. In addition, the Boarding
Analyst will manipulate prior servicer data to correspond
with the servicing system.
c. Working relationships and contacts: The incumbent will have
contact externally with investors and prior servicers and
maintain effective business relationships needed to ensure
the most accurate loan information is boarded to the system
of record. Internal contact will include interaction with
Servicing and Recovery.
