This is a contract to hire position. Local Dallas/Fort Worth candidates ONLY as there will be an on site interview.
iOS 7, exp with large data sets ( 1 million rows), SQL Lite, Rest Web Service,
North Dallas company is looking for an iOS Developer. This is a contract to hire position.
Qualified candidate can independently develop computer applications involving moderately complex batch and interactive processes. Must have an understanding of other computer architectures with which those applications may communicate. Works closely with other associates within department to complete prioritized assigned tasks in a manner consistent with the company's Mission Statement, Values, and 10 Rules. Must be able to communicate with the user(s) regarding their computer application needs and be responsible for support and enhancements of active systems.
TYPE OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Assignments are checked to verify progress, through a reporting mechanism, by the supervisor, Lead Developer, or Development Manager.
DUTIES AND TASKS, Including but not limited to the following.
Seeks minimum guidance on the following tasks:
A. Performs moderately complex systems analysis and development activities on applications software, which may require some research.
B. Researches and understands the requirements for an application, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues. Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
C. Performs moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned tasks. Researches problems discovered by QA. Develops solutions to the problems.
D. Provides support for the resolution of production problems.
E. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
IOS 7 experience
Past experience with working with large data sets, over 1 million rows
SQL Lite
Managing multiple databases on a single device
Rest Web Service
Can read code of any kind
Ability to develop a list and detail screen module in 2 days
A minimum of 1 year of technical experience in application design, development, and support, or demonstrated ability in those areas.
Good technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation. Good analytical and design skills at multiple application level.
Good skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation. Good understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance. Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
General understanding of object oriented design patterns and application design principles
Good communications and interpersonal skills.
