Overview The Director leads a team responsible for driving the P&L growth for Personal and Auto loans business of Oportun. This highly visible role works very closely with the GM of the Personal & Auto loans business, as well as leaders from various functions across the business e.g. Risk, Marketing, Retail, Operations, etc. As we aspire to grow our business, this newly crafted function will help the GM drive an aggressive growth agenda. It is expected to be a very dynamic role. A successful individual in this role will be able to develop and execute cross-functional strategic initiatives to drive the growth and create a world-class experience for our customers. The role will be responsible for the entire analytics lifecycle, from ensuring proper experimental design and implementing timely tracking, to making sure actions are driving impact and a positive change, to ensuring learnings and insights are used to continuously improve business profitability. Over time, we expect that the candidate will exhibit tremendous value to the bottom-line and be able to build out the team to continue supporting growth aspirations. Responsibilities Own GM's P&L commitments to deliver - monthly, quarterly and annual Deeply understand the drivers of P&L and have a continuous viewpoint on the key leverage areas for the business Prepare business performance insights in a succinct format to share with the GM as well as other key leaders in the company Develop analytically-driven insights to uncover revenue and expense opportunities and make data-driven decisions. Work hand-in-hand with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to develop solutions for areas in which metrics are lagging plan or could perform better Influence key stakeholders (in operations and at the enterprise level) on making changes to the operational model to improve performance Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines Must be a self-starter, preferred hands-on approach and proficient problem solver Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can partner with multiple stakeholders (e.g., Risk, Marketing, Product, Operations, etc.) including senior executives A proven track record for working well in a matrix organizational structure and ability to drive initiatives across teams a low ego Must be able to attract, mentor, and grow high-performing teams Master's Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Operations Research, or Physics. PhD in a quantitative field is a plus. 8

years of experience in comparable role in top business consulting or high growth companies, 4
years people management experience Excellent SAS and SQL (or similar language) programming skills. Experience with R, Python or Hadoop is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills #IND
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Business AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
